Brittany Wang

Writer | Filmmaker

About

Brittany Wang is a Chinese-American screenwriter, born in Tianjin, China
and raised in suburban Maryland. A child of divorced immigrant parents (a
true double whammy), Brittany attained stereotypical accomplishments:
straight A’s, UCLA economics degree, corporate consulting career. Which
left her miserable, so she briefly joined a commune, lived in a yurt, and
trekked 200-miles through Spain.

Armed with these dichotomous experiences, Brittany now writes about the
disillusioned and dissatisfied. Her stories explore the unconventional
ways outsiders redefine life and fulfillment, on their own terms.

Brittany received her MFA in Writing for Screen and Television from the
University of Southern California. She is based in Los Angeles, where she
splits her time working as a financial advisor for public transportation
authorities and leading screenwriting workshops through Asian Culture
and Media Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to showcasing and amplifying
Asian-American voices.
